This lace flounce hem dress has stolen my heart!
Summer is here, y’all (well, most days) and I cannot seem to live in anything but dresses these days. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – I hate pants. Like, with a lot of disdain. It may be because my legs are too short. It’s possible it’s because I hate trips to alterations. Maybe it’s just because of the effort it takes to find a great pair. All I know is when Summer roles around I become overly obsessed with a great dress.

But, let’s be real. Since I love a good dress – and lots of them for all occasions – I try to hunt for ones that are well made, versatile and affordable. These three qualities are ones you here us refer to a lot here on the blog.
That’s why I often turn to the Aqua line by Bloomingdale’s. Just so we’re clear, this is no way a sponsored post. I do not have a partnership with Bloomingdale’s in any way. I just happen to love the Aqua collection and want to share why with y’all.
So, here’s the deal, the Aqua line is:
1). Really affordable
2). Well made
3). Extensive. There are new pieces being added almost daily.
For the last few Summer’s I have really gravitated towards lace dresses in all colors. You may have caught this lace dress in this post from this Fall and again earlier this Spring. As you can see, this dress is really versatile and classic – one you’ll have in your closet for years if you choose.
Similar to the lace dress above, I was immediately drawn to this flounce hem dress. I love the eyelet and sheer stitch detailing. It’s romantic and feminine and perfect for all your Summer happenings.
Here are some things to know when shopping this dress and others from the Aqua line:
1). They have a tendency to run small.
Many of the reviews stated this dress ran a little small, as many of the Aqua items do. I am 5’0 tall about about 110 pounds. Based on the reviews, I did size up. I typically wear an XS, but purchased this dress in small. Also, I typically find that Aqua dresses can run a bit short, but was really pleased with the length of this dress. Based on my height, it fell just above my knee’s which I preferred in this dress.
On the other hand, I also bought this gorgeous Aqua black lace dress (on the blog soon!) and it ran pretty short for my height even.
2). The quality is great for the price.
I have been shopping the Aqua collection for several years now and have never been disappointed with the quality of products I have purchased. Most of their collection is less than $100, but my experience has been that everything has been well made and stood up to time and cleaning.
3). You have 365 days to return an item you don’t like.
Yep, you read that right. At Bloomingdale’s, you have 365 days to return most items. There’s only one other retailer, Nordstrom, with as friendly of a return policy that I am aware of. It’s one of the many things I love about shopping at Bloomingdale’s. For more info on their return policy, see here.
Have you shopped Bloomingdale’s Aqua line? What has been your experience?
How would you style this lace flounce hem dress?
Have a great week, everyone!
