Happy Wednesday, all! I hope you’re all having a great week so far!

Today, I am so excited to take a quick break from fashion and beauty to share with you a local staycation favorite of our’s here in Chicago – The Radisson Blu Aqua.

Whether you’re in need of a local girls trip, coming into town for a weekend or date weekend, or happen to be planning some upcoming holiday travel, Radisson Blu Aqua should absolutely be on your list of Chicago hotel destinations.

Let’s take a moment to highlight why we’re so in love:

Impeccable Location

The Radisson Blu Aqua could not be more perfectly situation in the heart of downtown Chicago.

Just blocks away from the Michigan Avenue, Millennium Park, the Chicago Riverwalk, and steps away from the lake, you simply cannot go wrong. All the rooms come with patio views of our breathtaking city.

Pet-Friendly Rooms

Yay for Gizmo! Seriously, how thrilled does he look in these photos? He just melts my heart.

Since Blarney’s passing a few years back (our other Yorkie), I really try not to board Gizmo. I just cannot stand the thought leaving him all alone in a kennel. Having the option to travel with him is such a perk and Radisson Blu Aqua pulls out all the stops and accommodations for your four legged family members.

Rooftop Swimming

The outdoor pool makes Radisson Blu Aqua really stand out among the competition here in Chicago as one of the only exclusive hotels in the area to offer a rooftop view with incredible views.

During the Fall and Winter months, take your workout indoors via the indoor two-lane lap pool.  The hotel also features a sundeck, kids outdoor splash pool (seasonal), fire pit, cabanas and a hot tub for even more relaxation.

Remarkable Design (Inside & Out)

The unique exterior of the Radisson Blu Aqua was designed by famed architect Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang Architects, making it an architectural wonder all its own.

The 334 chic rooms and suites of the Radisson Blu Aqua are defined by clean lines, pops of color and modern furnishings. Enjoy stunning views of Chicago and a host of upscale amenities including free Wi-Fi, flat-screen televisions, plush bedding, and coffee and tea provisions.

All of their stylish rooms boast incredible views of Lakeshore East Park, Millennium Park, Lake Michigan or the cityscape.

For added comfort,  you can upgrade to a Business Class Room or suite and enjoy expanded amenities like the complimentary use of an iPad.

Also, all new reservations as of October 1, 2017 will include an Urban fee of $25 per night (inclusive of tax) and will include the following items:

  • Access to the health club that includes fitness center, indoor/outdoor pools, outdoor running track, steam/sauna room and game room.
  • 10% discount to Filini Restaurant & Bar.
  • Free local and long distance calls.
  • Coffee service in the lobby from 5 – 6 a.m.
  • Nightly shoe shine, on request.
  • 24-hour business center.
  • Tier 1 Wi-Fi access in guest rooms and common areas of the hotel.

Filini Restaurant

Twirled pasta, chic décor, exposed brick, and crisp, aromatic wine await you at Filini, located inside the Radisson Blu Aqua.

Be transported to Italy with authentic regional flavors as the world hums along down Columbus Drive just outside. Natural light pours into the space through floor-to-ceiling windows, herbaceous scents perfume the air and the clinking of glasses can be heard from every direction.

The inviting atmosphere of Filini provides you with a flawless dining experience, from the sleek design of the space to the perfect marriage of classic Italian cuisine and culture.

You can find expert chefs blending local and imported ingredients into unforgettable plates which are sure to excite your taste buds. Discover a new favorite wine in the glass-encased wine wall, showcasing over 100 different options.

Filini is ideal for business lunches, romantic dinners, or casual gatherings with friends and colleagues. Intimate booths, sleek oak accents, low-hanging lights and mosaic flooring blend to create a warm and inviting space perfect for any occasion. In the warmer months, guests are invited to dine alfresco.

Honestly, how incredible do these cocktails look?  Can I just live there? #please

Also, there’s an adorable menu for your four legged friends to chose from.  Gizmo opted for grilled chicken and rice with veggies.  Y’all, I could barely keep him from eating it whole.  He was truly treated like a little prince.

See their full list of menu options here.

Have you been able to enjoy a stay at Radisson Blu Aqua? What has been your experience?
