Thank you so much to Santa Margherita for sponsoring today’s post. While we were compensated for today’s post, all thoughts and opinions are genuine and my own. XO
Summer is here, y’all, and we’re ready to rose all day!
In the Summer, we tend to dial up our entertaining- both indoors and outdoors. This season, we’re celebrating a ton of close friends and family graduations and showers. What better way to celebrate than glasses filled with rose!
Today, we’re sharing tips on how to throw the perfect #RoseAllDay soirée!
WHAT TO PREPARE:
Creating an elegant, tasty cheese platter is one of my favorite ways to entertain for guests. Here are a few tips on how to assemble a delectable charcuterie platter for your guests.
Dazzle your guests pallettes with a range of cheese choices. I suggest adding a cheese selection with different textures and flavor.
Serve about three ounces of cheese per guest. Include hard and soft cheeses as well as mild and strong flavors. Make sure to include different milk types – like goat cheese, a sheep’s milk cheese and a classic cow’s milk cheese. Include a blue cheese and something extra creamy, too – to ensure maximum variety.
Select A Variety of Cured Meats.
Select at least two or three different types of cured meats. Try and make sure the meats have different textures. Think the Plan for about 2-3 ounces of meat per person. Great options include smoked salmon, prosciutto, lean smoked pork and salami.
Fruits & Veggies
Add in some acidity via some pickled vegetables or berries to neutralize any strong flavors. Adding in grapes, apricots and cranberries are our favorites and always seem to win over guests, as well. Other options include apples, pears, figs, radishes and carrots.
Make sure to provide fresh bread, artisan crackers and extras like bread sticks for both extra added texture but also as a vehicle for the rest of the ingredients.
Santa Margherita has some of the best wines in the world, and a huge variety. So go on, make the most of it, and splash out and get a good bottle or two. Here are a few of the wines I chose for our Summer celebration:
- Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio
- Santa Margherita Rose
The rose brings a full bouquet of pleasing floral aromas with hints of red berry, artfully crafted its flavor is delicate, but vibrant and well rounded, remaining on the palate and making this a deliciously easy-drinking wine.
It also pairs really well with fish.
Food tastes better if it looks good. Do put in a bit of effort and make it look nice and organized. Tip: the fruit and meats can often time add lots of great, appealing colors which y’all know I love.
Also, if you know us well, you know we love to decorate with rich vibrant flowers. In this case, we chose rich reds, greens and oranges.
