There’s so much good news inside today’s post.

One, we’re back after a bit of a sabbatical from the blog. For the first time ever I found myself recently in an official blogging rut.

I haven’t been able to put my finger on exactly why, but what I do know is I had hit an all-time low. Maybe it was the weather. Maybe because I allowed myself to get overwhelmed at the office. Perhaps it was the recent passing of close friends this year and the news of ailing parents. Maybe it was everything combined. I often felt like the walls were closing in.

But, with the new season comes new perspective. We’re back and feeling great!

For the first time in a long time, Shawn and I got back out this weekend to shoot some looks in the city. Y’all, we had a blast together. The weather was perfect. The sun as out. And, our inspiration was high. We got through almost 6 looks in less than 2 hours (if you know us well, you know it typically takes us MUCH longer). Nevermind the cocktails we pack typically slows us down 🙂

Are you all feeling uplifted with the new season? I’ll share a post later next week about how I’ve been coping this year with anxiety. It’s the first time I’ve struggled with such a thing. I’d love your thoughts on how you’ve made it through time like these as well. Y’all are my inspiration.

On the brighter side of today’s post, I am equally excited to share with you the details of today’s look.

Lets start with this gorgeous spring trench coat.

I first purchased it to go with this dress specifically. I wanted it for a few upcoming office occasions, but had a moment of buyers remorse as I thought I’d be really limited in how many looks I’d be able to pair it with. Boy was I wrong, y’all.

I’m going to apologize in advance for the next three or so posts this week and next. I hope you love the looks as much as I do. The spring trench coat goes so well with everything – much to my surprise.
