Instant Pot Lazy Lasagna is the deliciously easy pasta recipe you’ve been looking for! Ready in less than 15 minutes, this pasta dish will have them begging for seconds and thirds!

WOW!  This Instant Pot Lazy Lasagna is incredibly delicious, guys.

Being cooped up inside has us begging for quick and easy Instant Pot recipes the family will love.  This recipe was the answer we were looking for.  This is one of the better ‘dump-and-go’ recipes we’ve made in some time.  In under 15 minutes, you’ll have this pure comfort food dinner on the table in less than 15 minutes.

Recently, my girlfriend Lauren of The Tasty Travelers came over for dinner where she whipped up this super easy recipe.  I knew it was one we would have to recreate at home again – and – what better time than now.

If you’re a fan of the Instant Pot and Ninja Foodi, I highly recommend following Lauren.  She creates the most incredible dishes.  One my of favorite recipes of hers is her Instant Pot Lobster Tail recipe.  It’s just to die for!

With just a few simple pantry ingredients, I can almost guarantee this cheater lasagna recipe will become a true familiy favorite.

It’s always been our goal to create recipes for you that are as versatile as your family is!  What I love about this Instant Pot Lazy Lasagna is you can change the ingredients out quickly and easily. Simply drop most of your ingredients in your Instant Pot, pressure cook and you’re good to go!

Does your family love veggies?  Ours, too!  This Instant Pot Lazy Lasagna is also delicious with zucchini, mushrooms, spinach and so much more.

It’s also worth noting, you can create Instant Pot Lazy Lasagna with a number of different types of meat, as well.  We have made it with ground turkey, spicy Italian sausage, lean ground beef and more.

Similar to traditional lasagna, Lazy Lasagna makes for the perfect freezer meals, too.  If you like to meal prep for your family on the weekend, it’s easy to make this Instant Pot Lazy Lasagna on Sunday, throw in the freezer in a freezer safe container and server weeks or a month later, if needed.

TIPS FOR MAKING INSTANT POT LAZY LASAGNA:

Most Lazy Lasagna recipes are made with ricotta cheese, but it’s not a favorite in our house so I omitted it for this recipe.  If you would like to add, feel free to do so – 1 cup.  You will to add after the pressure cooking process when you add the shredded parmesan cheese.  NOTE: so many others also love adding cottage cheese over ricotta cheese.

This recipe is loaded with flavor!  I used dried basil because that’s what I had in the pantry, but you can also use fresh basil, as well.  Also be sure to add the fresh basil when you add the Parmesan cheese.

As mentioned above, if you like veggies, this Lazy Lasagna is a great way to get the family to add a few greens with dinner.  I recommend spinach, kale, zucchini, squash – or all of them 🙂

Last, I use oven ready lasagna noodles for this easy Instant Pot recipe.

HOW TO MAKE INSTANT POT LAZY LASAGNA:

  1. Turn on your Instant Pot and select the ‘Saute’ function on high.
  2. Add olive oil, onions and sausage.  Saute until browned.
  3. Add garlic and saute for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  4. Select the ‘Cancel’ button to turn off the Instant Pot and reset the cooking function.
  5. Add pasta sauce, garlic pepper, basil, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, salt, beef broth, water and lasagna noodles.
    1. NOTE: In order to avoid the burn notice, be sure to carefully scrape the bottom of the pot with a non-stick spoon or spatual to ensure no onions and garlic are stuck to the bottom.
    2. Also, when you add the pasta noodles, be sure to add them in a criss-cross motion.  Doing so will help the noodles from sticking together. Also, as you are adding the noodles, try to press as much of the noodles under the water as possible.
  6. Select the ‘Pressure Cook’ function and cook on high for 4 minutes.
  7. Once the timer beeps, quick release all pressure then carefully remove the lid.
  8. Stir contents to break up the pasta and combine all ingredients well.
  9. Add Parmesan cheese and stir again until contents are well combined.
  10. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, serve with a side of garlic bread and enjoy!!
