MY HONEST ARITZIA REVIEW:
I have thought about shopping Aritzia a number of times in the past – both in stores and online – but have never pulled the trigger on a purchase. That was, until a few weeks ago, when I headed into a store locally.
I did snag a number of pieces I now love, and have been wearing non-stop, but there are a few things you will want to consider if you are thinking of shopping Aritzia for the first time, as well.
Below, I’ll outline my thoughts on their selection, overall price and value, important things to note about the fit.
AITZIA STYLE SELECTION:
They have a really great selection of both on-trend and classic pieces. What I really love about their collection is the majority of pieces available are fitting and versatile for weekend to work to date night and beyond.
I specifically picked up three pairs of these incredible Conan Slim Fit Pants (I loved them so much I got black, green and a plaid pair), a dress, a silk snake print cami and two sweaters.
I also eyed a number of great coats for Fall and Winter, a silk slip dress, a killer blazer and and party tops. For my petite friends, these pants are divine!
For reference, I am 5’0 and these pants are the perfect ankle length. The Aritzia collection offers a to of different styles of pants specifically, but pay close attention to the name as the sizes have a tendency to be very different. These are the Conan pant and available in multiple colors. Bonus, they have an elastic waistband in the bag for the perfect fit.
ARITZIA SIZING & FIT:
This Aritzia review would not be complete without talking to you about the fit of the collection. If you have the opportunity to try their pieces on in-store, I highly recommend doing so. Or, pay close attention to the sizing chat online.
A good majority of their pieces have a tendency to run really small. For example, I purchased these Conan pants in a size 6. To offer a comparison, I normally wear a 1-2 in Banana Republic, Ann Taylor or J.Crew. However, I also purchased these Jimmy Pants, but in a size 2. By the way, they are as comfortable and soft as pajamas!
When it comes to tops, I recommend taking a look at the pieces to determine if they appear more fitted or loose. If the piece appears more fitted, I’d recommend sizing up. If it’s more loose, You should be good to go with your typically size.
For another reference point, this snake print cami ran true to size.
ARITZIA PRICING:
Depending on the item, Aritzia pieces can run on the average to higher end of the price spectrum. In my opinion, if you’re shopping for a classic coat, a pair of pants you know you’ll get a lot of wear out of, a dress, etc., you’re likely paying a good price for the quality.
As I mentioned above, many of their pieces are likely ones you’ll have in your closet for season, if not years, to come. In those cases, think about the cost per wear.
For other pieces, such as this silk snake print cami, I think you could find a similar style and quality for much cheaper. For reference, this cami cost nearly $80 at Aritzia.
However, you can find an almost identical style and fit for a fraction of the price at retailers such as Banana Republic, Nordstrom, Zara and more.

I have shopped here for myself and 3 girls for a while. The products they sell are generally well made and comfortable. I will no longer shop here as a result of their shady and unreasonable business practices. I bought many items for my girls for xmas and went to return one early because I knew it wouldn’t work due to the fabric. Had only received the item two days before trying to return and went online to set up return. The holiday return policy stated Jan 10th would be return deadline, which I checked before purchasing. However, all my items, including that one were marked as non-returnable (again, just two days after even receiving this). I wrote customer service, they said I didn’t tick a little box that says “gift” so the holiday return date doesn’t apply to my orders, exchanged several emails and they still won’t make an exception and mark my orders accordingly even though I am well within the holiday return window currently. Terrible business practices and customer service. They just lost 4 customers for good.

Aritzia means quality and uniqueness for me. As a tour guide, I need to look polished and professional as people watch me all day. The small things which make a garment look and feel expensive and long-wearing are standard there: extra buttons, repair thread, inside French seams, facings, hanging loops, etc. Their customer service is seriously above and beyond.
I have adjusted to their sizing and find their pants fit me like a glove. That fact alone brings me back every season to see their next snappy introductions, sassy innovations and ever changing color transitions.
